SIMPLY PRECISE

The competence of Schneider Messtechnik in contactless, optical measuring technology was already established in the early-going. The production of optics and physical units was decisive for the first 25 years of the company.

In 1973, Dr. Heinrich Schneider Optotechnische Fabrik was acquired by the owner of the present day parent company, Allit Kunststofftechnik Aktiengesellschaft. At that time, it was decided to further utilize the optical and mechanical core competences of the company and to develop and produce high-quality opt-electronic industrial goods. Since then, both competences have been constantly and newly combined in high-quality measuring technology to obtain the highest possible precision.

Dr. Schneider Messtechnik measuring units are being used nowadays throughout the world in reknowned companies, in particular, in the automotive industry as well as by its suppliers, medical industries, the machine and tool construction industry as well as the electrical and plastics industries. Much leading companies in the aircraft industry measure today with Schneider Messtechnik machines, Formule 1 and calibration services belong to our customers as well.

Besides contactless measuring technology for measuring projectors, Dr. Heinrich Schneider combines optical and tactile measuring technologies in the product line SKM (Schneider coordinate measuring units) introduced in 1997. The most up-to-date image processing is the new core competence. Accuracy and fastness are indispensable principles of Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik in times of increased challenges in measuring rooms and production environments.

The constantly increasing requirements in regard to electronical and mechanical quality lead to the necessity of an immense effort in development. The removal to new building in 2002 makes the company best prepared for its future.

30 years success in the optical measuring technique

The company Dr. Heinrich Schneider Optotechnische Fabrik was founded by Dipl. Salesman Dr. Heinrich Schneider in the year 1947. At that time the enterprise was a manufacturer of glasses for spectacles.

In the year 1973, Mr Hans Kallinowsky took over the board of the company. Since then, the company trades under the name of Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik GmbH.

With a new range of products, so-called measuring projectors, the company took a constant rise, so that a movement to larger premises in 1976 was necessary. In 2002 the company moved into the present and bigger building.

Since 1973 the company Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik manufactures optical and optoelectronical measuring systems, which became known under the term "profile projectors" and "multi-sensor measuring machines". With a constant development of the optical and electronical technique, the product range expanded by optical 2D and 3D coordinate measuring units.

Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik became the first company in the world to equip their measuring machines with electronical components, maintaining its leading position against a great number of competitors on the market of contactless production measuring technique.

Since 1984 the company constantly develops, besides German market, markets worldwide. You will find Schneider measuring devices in almost any country of the world.

Since 1996, Schneider Messtechnik is certified ISO 9001 and since 2002 ISO 9001/2000. In 2001 Schneider received the Q1 award from Ford.
