PMS 900 LL – high-precision measurement with wider measuring range

9. February 2010

Exact calculations were carried out here! Particularly by the engineers in developing the youngest member of the successful PMS family. With a measuring range of 900 x 700 x 600 mm and granite axes mounted completely in air bearings, the PMS900 LL gantry measuring machine offers a measurement uncertainty of E1 = 0.9 + L/600, E2 = 1.2 + L/500 and E3 = 1.9 + L/400.

The sturdy construction then has a weight of 6.5 tonnes, but with overall dimensions of ONLY 2.80 m x 2.00 m x 2.35 m. In the standard version, the PMS 900 LL has a 3-axis CNC system that can be expanded to 5 axes together with a 1.4 megapixel CCD camera with telecentric lenses. Renishaw supplies both the SP25 scanning module with FCR25 changer unit and the PH10 motorised rotating/pivoting head.

Further features are the telecentric diode transmitted light and the switchable sector diode incident light. The machine configuration can be further extended to include a coaxial scanning point laser, the active temperature compensation of machine and workpiece, and the SAPHIR high-performance software package with all the options. The large Z-axis measurement stroke and the compact design with a machine height of 2.35 m enables individual customised solutions in an unprecedented high precision class.

And if that is not enough, the machine is also available with a measuring range of 1200 mm x 1200 mm x 600 mm. And then, of course, we have calculated an attractive price for you. Ask us – the price and our all-inclusive package will surprise you. The next offer that pays off – from Schneider Messtechnik in Bad Kreuznach, who else?
